ASCnet Honors Carriers for Real-Time Tech Advances

DALLAS (September 29, 2006)—Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet), the user group of Applied Systems management technology, recognized several carriers and individuals for contributions to implementing real-time communication advancements for the Independency Agency System. The announcements were made here at the association’s 21 st Annual TENCon—technology, education and networking conference.

ASCnet’s Ease of Doing Business awards went to Frankenmuth Financial Group (gold), Liberty Mutual Agency Markets (silver), and The Hartford (bronze). These awards recognize a carrier’s implementations for both personal and commercial lines combined, said ASCnet Chair Donna Abramson.

Frankenmuth also won Commercial Lines Interface Carrier of the Year, while Ohio Casualty Group received the award for personal lines. Abramson noted some carriers participate in just personal or commercial lines implementations, and the association sought to recognize those as well.

ASCnet’s Carrier Representative of the Year went to Brady Polansky, CPCU, CIC, agency operations director in the marketing group for Westfield Insurance. The Indiana Applied Systems User Group won Chapter of the Year.

Abramson awarded five Chair Citations for furthering ASCnet’s mission:

  • Carol Pickett, with Clemens & Associates, Bloomington, IL, for “dedication to ensuring ASCnet members are integral in the product-development process.”
  • Donna Barr, with Marsh Private Client Services, Palm City, FL, for “tireless efforts to promote interface initiatives throughout the insurance industry.”
  • John Warn, with Rue Insurance, Trenton, NJ, for “exemplary demonstration of the true meaning of users helping users.”
  • Kathy Lattz, with Applied Systems, and ASCnet’s David Andrukiewicz for “teamwork and collaboration in increasing access to education information throughout our industry.”
